Scientists in Russia have discovered a "precision weapon" against cancer cells

Russian scientists from the National Research Technological University (NITU) MISiS and the Russian National Research Medical University. N.I. Pirogov developed a new approach in the treatment of certain cancers. The work was published in the journal Pharmaceutics .
According to the study, the new approach is based on the use of nanoparticles aimed at releasing the active substance exclusively inside the tumor cells.
According to Timur Nizamov, junior researcher at the Laboratory of Multifunctional Magnetic Nanomaterials of NUST MISIS , the magnetic properties of such nanoparticles increase the possibility of their direct delivery to the tumor zone by controlling magnetic fields.
According to Nizamov, in the future, the development of such technology will make it possible to create a “high-precision weapon” against malignant tumors, operating on the “fire and forget” principle.
Prior to this, scientists from the Far Eastern Federal University and the Pacific State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia received a new material for targeted delivery of antitumor drugs based on the skeleton of a sea urchin.
Earlier in Britain, it was proposed to boil the dead in alkali in order to save the planet.
