Microsoft’s quarterly revenue pleased investors, increasing by 7%

Microsoft’s shares are up 4% in the last quarter. The company’s revenue grew over the reporting three months by 7% and amounted to $52.9 billion. The main amount the company earned through the sale of software and cloud services: growth in the latter direction was 27% for the quarter, this type of service brought Microsoft $22.1 billion.
Experts expected that the difficult macroeconomic situation will have a negative impact on Microsoft’s Windows business, as PC sales have declined markedly. But the impact was not so big, in this direction Microsoft earned $13.3 billion, while analysts expected $12.19 billion.
The business of selling Office software and advertising on the social network LinkedIn brought in $17.5 billion, also more than analysts had expected, who had forecast $16.99 billion.
