MediaTek’s February revenue returned to 30 billion yuan, a monthly increase of more than 35%

Mobile phone chip maker MediaTek’s February revenue rebounded to more than NT$30 billion, reaching 30.31 billion yuan, a monthly increase of 35.41%, which was still 4.28% lower than the same period last year.
According to the legal person, the recovery of the momentum of customers’ purchases is the main reason for the recovery of MediaTek’s revenue in February; but at present, customers are still strictly controlling inventory, and MediaTek’s performance is still at a low level. MediaTek’s cumulative revenue in the first two months was 52.693 billion yuan, an annual decrease of 36.92%.
MediaTek estimates that the revenue in the first quarter is estimated to be about 93 billion to 101.7 billion yuan, a quarterly decrease of 6% to 14%. The legal person estimates that MediaTek’s March revenue will further rise to more than 40 billion yuan.
MediaTek expects that with the unblocking of the epidemic in China, the visibility of demand is expected to gradually improve, and the business will improve from the second quarter, and the first quarter should be the operating low point. As for the full-year operating performance, it remains to be seen how the demand recovers.
