The State Department said that the company Spacety from China provided satellite images of PMC “Wagner”

Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink claims that the Chinese company Spacety Co provided the private military company (PMC) Wagner with satellite imagery. He made the corresponding statement at the hearings of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress, TASS reports .
“One of the blacklisted companies, Spacety Co, provided satellite imagery to the Wagner PMC,” Kritenbrink said.
He also pointed out that the United States is bringing information about the possibility of providing China with military assistance to Russia for use in Ukraine . According to Kritenbrink, Washington’s allies share his “concern about this.”
On February 24, the US Department of Commerce expanded sanctions against Russia and Belarus , in particular, imposed export restrictions and blacklisted 76 organizations from Russia and other countries. Thus, the Chinese companies HEAD Aerospace Technology Co and Spacety Co, which were suspected of providing support to the Russian Armed Forces, fell under the restrictions.
Later, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said that China strongly protested the sanctions imposed by the United States on Chinese companies. According to him, Beijing will take the necessary retaliatory measures.
