Cardiologists have named five sleep-related habits that will help prolong life

According to new research presented at the annual scientific session of the American College of Cardiology , good sleep can play an important role in maintaining overall health, as well as prolonging life.
Scientists conducted a study involving 172 thousand people who provided data on their sleep and health from 2013 to 2018. More than 8,000 people died during the study, of which more than 2,000 deaths were caused by cardiovascular disease, another 2,000 by cancer, and another 4,000 were caused by other causes. About 8% of deaths from any cause can be attributed to poor sleep patterns.
According to the authors of the work, after analyzing the data, they deduced five sleep-related habits that will prolong life and improve health.
Among them, the ideal duration of sleep is from seven to eight hours a night, the absence of the use of sleeping pills. In addition, the person should not experience difficulty falling asleep more than twice a week, sleep problems (such as poor sleep) more than twice a week. In addition, you should get good sleep at least five times a week.
“If people have all these habits, they are more likely to live longer,” the researchers concluded.
