Rospotrebnadzor: the number of cases of COVID-19 in Russia increased by 20%

In the seventh week of 2023, the number of new registered cases of COVID-19 in Russia increased by 20% compared to the sixth week of the year, Rospotrebnadzor reported. Thus, the number of new cases is 94 thousand.
The incidence rate of influenza and SARS over the past week increased slightly compared to the previous one – by only 1%. The total number of cases was just over 1 million people.
Now, according to the agency, several types of pathogens are circulating in Russia. Influenza viruses predominate among them (56.7%), of which influenza B virus is the most common. Among other respiratory infections, PC viruses, rhinoviruses, and adenoviruses predominate.
