Musk: A new Twitter CEO may be appointed by the end of the year
Musk said Twitter's new CEO could be on the job closer to the end of the year.
Elon Musk said Twitter Inc.’s new chief executive could be on the job closer to the end of the year.
Last year, Musk floated the idea of appointing someone to take over the day-to-day management of the social media platform, which he acquired for $44 billion in October.
Asked about Twitter’s CEO succession plan during a remote speech at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Wednesday, Musk said: “I guess it’s probably at the end of the year.”
“I think I need to stabilize the organization, make sure it’s financially healthy and the product roadmap is clear,” he said, adding: “By the end of the year or so, it should be in a stable state.”
