The US government spoke with Elon Musk about the use of Starlink internet in Ukraine.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the US government had a series of conversations with SpaceX owner Elon Musk about using Starlink satellite internet in Ukraine.
This was reported in Reuters.
In response to the question of whether there were requests to Elon Musk to lift restrictions on the use of Starlink by the Ukrainian military, Anthony Blinken stated: “I cannot answer this question. I cannot share any conversations that we had, except that we had conversations.”
- Recall that Elon Musk’s SpaceX company has taken measures to prevent the use of Starlink satellite Internet by the defenders of Ukraine to control drones. SpaceX President and COO Gwynne Shotwell said Starlink satellite Internet, which provided the Ukrainian military with broadband, was “never intended to be used as a weapon.”
- American astronaut Scott Kelly called on Elon Musk to return the APU full access to Starlink. The businessman refused the request and justified it by the fact that “he will not allow the escalation of the conflict, which could lead to the Third World War.”
