Roskosmos showed a photo of damage to the skin on the Progress MS-21 spacecraft

State Corporation “Roscosmos” has published a photo of the damage on the transport ship “Progress MS-21”.
The photo was taken by the cameras of the simulator of the American segment of the International Space Station.
The head of the corporation, Yuri Borisov , said that at present, specialists are taking all necessary measures that will allow them to get to the site of the damage to Progress and establish its cause. According to him, the option of damaging the skin from the outside, namely by a meteorite or space debris, is being considered.
Borisov said that before determining the causes of emergency situations on the ISS, it was decided to postpone the launch of the Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft in unmanned mode until March 2023. Nothing threatens the crew of the station, Borisov stressed.
On February 11 , it became known that Progress MS-21, which should complete its flight as part of the ISS on February 18, was depressurized. It was noted that “Progress MS-21” is isolated from the total volume of the ISS and the depressurization did not affect its docking with the station.
