Named the probable cause of the depressurization of the “Progress MS-21”
"Izvestia": the reason for the depressurization of "Progress MS-21" is a violation of its assembly technology

Violation of the production technology of the Russian segments of the International Space Station (ISS) is the probable cause of depressurization of the Progress MS-21 cargo spacecraft. The Izvestia newspaper writes about this , citing a source in Roskosmos.
“I suppose we are talking about some kind of deviation from the technology – a slightly different material, a slightly different production conditions, a different operator. Structurally, this unit (thermal control system) has not changed and has served well for many years, so it is unlikely that the problem is in its scheme, ”the source said.
According to him, the incident with the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft occurred after the launch of Progress MS-21 on the ISS – “it turns out that the potential error could no longer be corrected.”
As one of the representatives of the rocket and space industry told the publication, in his opinion, there is some problem in the design of spacecraft, and in particular in the thermal control system assembled by RSC Energia specialists.
Earlier, the head of Roskosmos, Yuri Borisov , said that specialists are currently taking all necessary measures that will allow them to get to the site of the damage to Progress MS-21 and establish its cause. According to him, the option of damaging the skin from the outside, namely by a meteorite or space debris, is being considered.
On February 11 , it became known that Progress MS-21, which should complete its flight as part of the ISS on February 18, was depressurized. It was noted that “Progress MS-21” is isolated from the total volume of the ISS and the depressurization did not affect its docking with the station.
