Putin said he would hold a meeting on the development of drones in the spring

MOSCOW, Feb 9 – PRIME. A special meeting on the development of unmanned aerial vehicles with representatives of relevant ministries and businesses will be held this spring, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

Russia has its own programs to create drones, Peskov said
“In the spring we will discuss the results of all the great joint work at a special meeting. We will invite representatives of ministries, departments, companies that work in this area. I really hope that your colleagues, I mean colleagues who work within the Agency, will also receive at this meeting participation,” the head of state said at a meeting of the supervisory board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
Putin also asked the department to organize the necessary support to create demand and infrastructure for UAVs. The corresponding project for the operation of drones will be prepared by the government, he stressed.
In addition, the Russian leader instructed to work out a personnel training system for the development of unmanned aircraft and the training of specialists for high-tech industries under international programs with the participation of interested states.
“Unmanned systems are a real catalyst for so-called end-to-end technologies in such areas as navigation, communications, energy storage systems, new materials, artificial intelligence, engine building, micro- and radio electronics,” the president concluded.
