RuStore is out of beta testing

RuStore exited beta testing and launched a personal account in English

MOSCOW, Feb 8 – PRIME. The Russian app store RuStore has exited beta testing and launched a personal account in English for foreign app developers, according to a statement from the VK company that developed the marketplace.

At the end of May last year, VK, together with the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, in response to the disabling of the ability to pay for products with Russian bank cards on Google Play and the App Store, launched a beta version of the domestic RuStore store, which runs on mobile devices with the Android operating system.

“The official Russian app store for Android announces the end of the beta testing mode…. At the current stage, all the necessary functionality has already been implemented: users can install and update the necessary applications, evaluate them and make purchases. Publishers, including foreign ones, place applications and make a profit,” the statement said

“Foreign publishers got access to a localized console (personal account – ed.) – the interface was translated into English,” VK added.

According to the company, about 5,000 applications have already been published in RuStore, and a total of 3,500 publishers are registered on the platform, half of which are indie developers engaged in independent software development without financial support from large companies.
