Laureates of the Presidential Prize in Science and Innovation for Young Scientists Announced

The official portal of legal information has published Vladimir Putin’s decree on awarding the Prize of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists for 2022. The award was given to Irek Mukhamatdinov, Alexander Osadchiev, Irina Timofeeva and Andrey Shishov.
Irek Mukhamatdinov, Senior Researcher at Kazan Federal University, will receive the award for developing aquathermolysis catalysts for enhanced oil recovery.
Alexander Osadchiev, Leading Researcher, Institute of Oceanology. P.P. Shirshov of the Russian Academy of Sciences, became the winner of the award for achievements in the study of oceanological processes in the seas of the Russian Arctic, which are important for ensuring economic activity in the waters of the Northern Sea Route.
Irina Timofeeva and Andrey Shishov (both Associate Professors at St Petersburg University) will receive an award for developing materials and methods for instrumental chemical analysis of industrial, natural and biomedical objects.
Last year, the award was given for the study of plant genes, the study of ocean processes and the development of the theory of the electronic structure of compounds of heavy elements.
