The chatbot ChatGPT has competition: Google boss Sundar Pichai wrote in a blog entry that they are working on their own artificial intelligence called Bard, which is supposed to answer questions from users and take part in conversations. This AI is not yet freely accessible, but is being tested.

Pichai stated that Bard will be made available to a wider audience in the coming weeks. Apparently under the pressure and success of the artificial intelligence ChatGPT from the company OpenAI, Google is launching an AI offensive.

Microsoft could introduce the integration of its search engine Bing with ChatGPT this week, information about which had been leaked in the past few days. In addition to the chatbot Bard, there should be new AI functions in Google search and the provision of programming interfaces with which AI applications can be developed.
