Roscosmos: the design council recommended extending the operation of the ISS until 2028

Roscosmos said that the design council recommended extending the operation of the Russian segment of the ISS until 2028.
The corporation noted that the decision will be considered at a meeting of the scientific and technical council of Roscosmos, based on the results of which the State Corporation will prepare an appropriate appeal to the government.
Earlier, Roscosmos and ISS partners took measures to ensure the safety of the crew of the malfunctioning Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft in case an emergency occurs at the station. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the state corporation.
As stated in Roskosmos, the systems of the International Space Station and this ship are working normally, but in the event of an accident, the crew will need an emergency evacuation to Earth before the arrival of the Soyuz MS-23.
It is noted that if an emergency evacuation is necessary, Rubio will return to the planet on Crew Dragon.
The state corporation indicated that the Russian cosmonauts would then return to Earth on their Soyuz MS-22 with a faulty cooling system.
